Iowa cowboy, Cody Huber, has made quite a name for himself at just 22 years young. Cody is married to Shayla Huber, who spends her summers off from teaching, traveling with Cody and his family to rodeos and events. Cody has been a devoted user and sponsored rider of HealthyCoat for the past eight years. He continues to impress and inspire us here at HealthyCoat, as well as those around him in and out of the arena.
Cody has devoted his life to the sport of calf roping and sets great season and long-term goals for himself. He trains calf horses and helps on the family cattle farm day to day, but come rodeo time, he is a natural with a rope. Cody started roping at a very young age and became very passionate about the sport from day one. Growing up he and his brother and parents went to rodeos together, and he still travels with his dad, so rodeos are very much a family thing for him. Cody learned much of what he knows from his dad, Bill Huber, and had hopes that he could follow in his dad’s winning footsteps in the roping pen.
Cody’s main mount, Roanie, has put him at the top of the competition many times and helped him reach great accomplishments, but he has high hopes for his backup horse, Dunny, and young horse, Jewels, as well. While Cody has had many accomplishments over the years, his most impressive accomplishments include qualifying for High School Rodeo Finals, 2012 College National Rodeo Finals, Great Lake Circuit Finals and Ram National Circuit Finals, as well as being named Iowa Best Roper in 2010, two-time URA champion calf roper and four-time IRCA champion calf roper. His skill, determination and efforts allow him to pursue his dreams on his great bunch of equine athletes. Cody is a force to be reckoned with, and HealthyCoat is glad to sponsor and be represented by such a motivated, well-rounded cowboy!
